Shops and Eateries

The village has three pubs, and The Stores which functions as a village shop, post office and small cafe.

The pubs are:

• The Kings Arms, South Zeal
• The Oxenham Arms, South Zeal
• The Seven Stars, South Tawton.

The Stores is situated in South Zeal.

Venues

There are also several venues for hire for events.

• Church House, South Tawton
• South Zeal Victory Hall

The tea towels arranged by the Victory Hall have arrived! There's one with drawings of the local houses drawn by house holders, and one with the drawings of the public buildings by various people including local artists. The tea towels cost £5 each and can be seen or bought in The Store. Alternatively, call in at Moon Daisy cottage or Buttercup Cottage in South Zeal to buy them. They are also on sale in the 3 pubs. Proceeds will be going towards the Victory Hall.

Sports

For sports, we have the Recreation Ground, which features tennis courts, a skate park, a rugby/football pitch, children's play area, picnic area and a pavilion. There are also public toilets. This is maintained by the Recreation Ground Committee.
